This is a teacher’s guide to creating a blog for classroom use. After giving workshops, working with individuals, and maintaining my own for a good while now, I have found that there are a few things we can do when creating a blog that may make it a more useful and safer working environment for our classroom.

The pages connected to this series will start from ground zero and guide a technophobic teacher through creating this new classroom tool. Later pages will open discussion on why and how to use the blog in the classroom.

The reference pages are roughly taken from this handout which was modified last on August, 2009: EdublogSetup09

The handout can also be followed online using sections a-f to the right, under ‘Creating Your Blogs.’
